Professional photoshoots on the Amalfi Coast start from €279. A typical one- to two-hour session runs roughly €279–€450, depending on duration and the number of edited photos — from a single-village shoot in Amalfi or Atrani to a longer session linking a harbour, a terrace and a viewpoint above the water.

The cathedral steps and working harbour of Amalfi, quieter Atrani with its arched piazza next door, the terraces above Conca dei Marini, the bridge over the Fiordo di Furore, the lemon terraces and Marina di Praia at Praiano, and the Path of the Gods high above the coast for the wide panorama.

Mornings. The cliffs face south and east, so the villages are luminous soon after sunrise and fall into shadow early in the afternoon, and the first ferries of day visitors arrive around ten. May, June and September combine good light with room to move; August brings the heaviest heat and the fullest harbours on the whole coast.

Slow enough to plan around. In high summer the twenty-odd kilometres between Sorrento and Amalfi can take well over an hour, with coaches reversing at the tight bends and no parking at the end of it. One village photographed properly beats three reached in a rush, and a boat transfer is often quicker. Check whether the alternating number-plate restrictions are running on your dates.

For peak wedding season (May through October), we strongly recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for Saturday weddings at popular venues. Italy's top wedding photographers often have their prime summer dates booked a full year ahead, particularly in sought-after regions like the Amalfi Coast, Siena, and Val d'Orcia. For off-season weddings (November through April), you'll have more flexibility and may find availability with 2-3 months notice. Most destination wedding couples book 8-12 hours of photography coverage, which captures the complete story from getting-ready preparations through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, first dance, and party. For more intimate weddings (under 30 guests) or shorter celebrations, 6 hours of coverage may be sufficient to capture all the key moments. Full-day packages of up to 16 hours are available for extended celebrations that start with morning preparations and continue through a late-night party or after-party.
