Professional photoshoots on the Amalfi Coast start from €279. A typical one- to two-hour session runs roughly €279–€450, depending on duration and the number of edited photos — from a single-village shoot in Amalfi or Atrani to a longer session linking a harbour, a terrace and a viewpoint above the water.

Mornings. The cliffs face south and east, so the villages are luminous soon after sunrise and fall into shadow early in the afternoon, and the first ferries of day visitors arrive around ten. May, June and September combine good light with room to move; August brings the heaviest heat and the fullest harbours on the whole coast.

Slow enough to plan around. In high summer the twenty-odd kilometres between Sorrento and Amalfi can take well over an hour, with coaches reversing at the tight bends and no parking at the end of it. One village photographed properly beats three reached in a rush, and a boat transfer is often quicker. Check whether the alternating number-plate restrictions are running on your dates.

Your photographer will scout the exact spot in advance, identify the best angles and lighting positions, and plan their cover story — often posing as a tourist photographing the scenery. On the day, they'll be in position 15-20 minutes early with a telephoto lens to capture every moment from your approach to the ring reveal to your partner's genuine reaction.
