The crowds, honestly
Both are crowded from mid-morning to dusk, April through October. The difference is geometry: Rome's crowds pool at a handful of icons and disperse in between; Florence's centre is small enough that the crowd fills it wall to wall. In August, Florence's stone streets also hold heat noticeably harder. In both cities the professional answer is the same: shoot at dawn, or climb.

We couldn't recommend Georgiana more as a wedding photographer! From our very first meeting, we knew she would be an absolute dream to work with. She took the time to meet us at our venue months before the wedding — even late in the evening when that was the only time we were available!
