Most couples sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, which gives you enough time to visit 2-3 locations and capture a wide variety of natural, relaxed poses and candid moments together. During this time, your photographer will guide you through different backdrops — perhaps starting at a scenic viewpoint, moving to a charming side street, and finishing at a waterfront or garden. The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — choose complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid colors and muted tones (navy, cream, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Italy's warm-toned architecture and lush green landscapes. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, or neon colors that can distract from you as a couple. Comfortable shoes are essential, especially in Rome and Florence where cobblestone streets and hillside viewpoints are common. Bring a second outfit if you'd like variety — many couples change halfway through longer sessions. Golden hour — the hour after sunrise or before sunset — provides the most flattering, warm, romantic light and is universally recommended by professional photographers. In Italy, sunset times range from around 5:30pm in winter to 9:00pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions in Rome and Florence are especially popular because the westward-facing viewpoints catch the light over the river and rooftops beautifully. Sunrise shoots are quieter and give you famous landmarks nearly to yourselves, which is ideal for Siena or heavily touristed areas. Midday sessions can work but require a photographer experienced with harsh light. Your Photo Italy photographer will recommend the ideal timing for your specific location and season.

Photoshoots in Procida start from €319, and one- to two-hour packages run roughly €319 to €450 depending on the length and the number of edited photos. The island is small enough that one hour genuinely covers Corricella and the climb to Terra Murata above it. The second hour buys Marina Grande or the harbour at Chiaiolella at the far end, about twenty minutes away on foot or by bus.

Marina Corricella, where ochre, pink and cream houses stack up over the quay and no car can reach you; the belvedere at Terra Murata, which looks straight down onto those roofs; the alleys and outside staircases behind the harbour, still hung with nets and washing; the pastel front at Marina Grande where the ferry lands; and the small harbour at Chiaiolella with the wooded islet of Vivara behind it.

Corricella faces roughly south-east, so it takes the morning sun on its façades and falls into shade by late afternoon; the belvedere above it is better in the last hour, with the colours warm and the harbour lit sideways. April, May, June and September are the good months. In August the island is full and the ferries land crowds all day, while from November to March many places simply shut.
