Para una sesión de viaje — parejas, familia, retrato individual — 2–4 semanas de antelación es cómodo en temporada alta y generoso el resto del año. Para una boda en sábado entre mayo y octubre, piensa en meses: de seis a doce. En medio quedan los casos especiales: pedidas en fechas simbólicas, un amanecer a mediados de agosto, Nochevieja.

Por qué la antelación no es constante
El calendario de un fotógrafo italiano está apretado por dos frentes: el turismo (mayo–septiembre, con picos en junio y septiembre) y las bodas (los mismos meses, los sábados sobre todo). Un sábado de junio, un fotógrafo que hace las dos cosas está disputado por triplicado; un martes de noviembre es tuyo con tres días de aviso.

Los tres casos en los que reservar pronto importa de verdad
1. Una fecha que no se puede mover. San Valentín, el aniversario exacto, un cumpleaños redondo. Cuando la fecha es el motivo, «lo movemos un día» no es una opción: reserva en cuanto tengas los vuelos.
2. Un fotógrafo concreto. Si te has enamorado de un porfolio — ese blanco y negro, esa manera de tratar a los niños — manda su agenda. Los perfiles más demandados cierran los fines de semana de verano con meses de antelación.
3. El amanecer en los iconos. Las sesiones al alba en Roma o Venecia son el horario más pedido del verano, porque son la única forma de tener los monumentos vacíos. Las buenas ventanas de fin de semana vuelan primero.

We couldn't recommend Georgiana more as a wedding photographer! From our very first meeting, we knew she would be an absolute dream to work with. She took the time to meet us at our venue months before the wedding — even late in the evening when that was the only time we were available! She was so attentive and we instantly loved her laid-back, friendly approach. Our wedding included multiple ceremonies, including a traditional Asian ceremony, and it meant so much that Georgiana took the time to learn about each stage so she could capture all the important moments perfectly. On the wedding day itself, she was such a calming presence. When I was running behind getting into my dress, she even stepped in to help! I had a rather ambitious goal of taking group photos with all of our guests during cocktail hour, and she took on the challenge with such enthusiasm. She made us feel so comfortable during our couple shoot, and all our guests commented on how organized and on-the-ball she was throughout the day. What can you say about this group of professionals? They go beyond simply being professionals. They put love and all of their character into every shot.
