Professional photoshoots in Taormina start from €279. A typical one- to two-hour session runs roughly €279–€450, depending on duration and the number of edited photos — from a short shoot on the Piazza IX Aprile balcony to a longer route through the public gardens and down towards Isola Bella.

The ancient Greek theatre with Etna framed in its broken arch, the balcony of Piazza IX Aprile over the Ionian, the bougainvillea and follies of the Villa Comunale gardens, Corso Umberto between Porta Messina and Porta Catania, Isola Bella at the foot of the cable car, and the hill village of Castelmola above the town.

Spring and autumn are the seasons: in August the town is at capacity and the light stays hard until quite late. Early morning gives an empty Corso Umberto and the clearest view of Etna before haze builds, while the last hour of light warms the terraces. Cruise arrivals at Giardini Naxos and Messina fill the centre through the middle of the day.

The theatre is a ticketed archaeological site with fixed opening hours — roughly morning until late afternoon, and shorter in winter — so sunrise and sunset inside it are not on offer. In summer it also closes to visitors on concert days, and a booked shoot may need permission, so check hours and rules in advance. Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.
