The Villa Comunale terrace, which looks straight across the bay to Vesuvius, the bougainvillea cloister of San Francesco next to it, the painted boats and low walls of Marina Grande, the lemon trees and tiled doorways in the lanes off Piazza Tasso, the green ravine of the Vallone dei Mulini, and the Roman ruins at the Bagni della Regina Giovanna.

Early morning at Marina Grande, while the fishermen are still working and the harbour is quiet, and the last hour of light on the Villa Comunale terrace, which is the town's reliable sunset frame. Ferry and cruise arrivals fill Piazza Tasso from mid-morning. May, June and September are ideal; August is hot and very busy.

It is the practical one. Ferries from Marina Piccola reach Capri and Positano in well under an hour, the Circumvesuviana train runs to Pompeii and Naples, and the coast road starts here. Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.
