Professional photoshoots in Pisa start from €279. A typical one- to two-hour session runs roughly €279–€450, depending on duration and the number of edited photos — from a short early-morning shoot on the Campo dei Miracoli to a longer walk that adds the Lungarni and the arcades of Borgo Stretto.

The Campo dei Miracoli with the leaning tower, the cathedral and the baptistery, plus the lawn beside them — rare open grass for family pictures. Then the Lungarni with their pastel reflections, the arcades of Borgo Stretto, the grand Piazza dei Cavalieri, and the tiny riverside church of Santa Maria della Spina.

Before eight in the morning, when the Campo dei Miracoli is genuinely empty and low sun rakes across the marble; by ten it is a field of raised arms. Golden hour along the Lungarni is the other good window. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable — in July and August the lawn offers no shade at all.

The square itself is open and free to walk at any hour, and ordinary couple or family sessions are fine on the lawn and the paths. Tripods, drones and anything that looks like a commercial production are treated differently, and the monuments themselves are ticketed with their own restrictions — check the current rules with your photographer beforehand. An early start avoids both the crowds and the questions.

It depends on the photographer. Many studio photographers run their own space and include it in the session fee — check the package description on their profile. Others book a third-party studio per session and pass the cost through (typically €40–€100 depending on city and studio size). For clarity, the price shown on Photo Italy includes everything unless the photographer's profile says otherwise. If you're unsure, message the photographer before booking — they'll confirm whether studio rental is bundled.

Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.
