Every age is perfect for a family photoshoot in Italy. Photographers adapt their approach to suit your children: for babies and toddlers (6 months to 3 years), they focus on natural play, cuddles, and close-up moments in calm settings like gardens or beaches. For children aged 4-10, sessions become more interactive with exploring, jumping, and adventure-style shots at castles or along waterfronts. Teenagers respond well to a relaxed, editorial approach that makes them feel cool rather than forced. Multi-generational families with grandparents benefit from Italy's accessible promenades in Positano or Amalfi. The key is choosing a location and time that suits your youngest family member. Photoshoots on Ischia start from €319, with one- to two-hour packages running roughly €319 to €450 depending on the length and the number of edited photos. An hour is enough for the causeway and the streets of Ischia Ponte under the castle. The island is bigger than it looks, so a session that also takes in Sant'Angelo or Sorgeto on the south coast needs the two-hour slot.

The stone causeway out to the Castello Aragonese, and the view back at Ischia Ponte from it; the stacked pastel houses of Sant'Angelo above its sand isthmus; the Sorgeto cove below Panza, where hot springs run straight into the sea; the long grey sweep of the Maronti beach; and the terraces of the Poseidon gardens above Citara bay, which face the sunset.

Early morning on the east side, because the causeway and Ischia Ponte face the sunrise and are quiet before the day boats land, and late afternoon on the west, where Citara bay and Forio take the sunset. May, June and September are the comfortable months: the sea is warm, the light is long and the island is not full. August is crowded and the middle of the day is too hard for portraits.
