Hi, I'm Cristian. I photographed my first wedding in 1997, in a small studio in Reggio Emilia, while I was still at university. In 2004 I moved to Sestri Levante, on the Ligurian Riviera, and never looked back: Portofino, Camogli, the Baia del Silenzio and the Cinque Terre have been my home and my backdrop ever since. After more than 25 years of weddings, I've learned that the best pictures happen when people forget there's a camera. So I won't hand you a list of poses. I'll give you a few simple tips to feel at ease, then let you walk, laugh, talk and just be yourselves, while I watch the light and wait for the moments that are genuinely yours. A session with me feels less like a photoshoot and more like a stroll with a local friend who knows where the light falls at sunset, which little alley the crowds haven't found yet, and where to grab the best focaccia afterwards. When I'm not photographing couples and families, you'll probably find me underwater with a camera: I've been an underwater photographer for 30 years. And if you're travelling with your dog, bring them along. I share my home with a pack of Epagneul Bretons, so four-legged guests are always welcome.
