Die Frage ist nicht „Was ist am schönsten?“
Alles davon ist schön, und genau deshalb hilft diese Frage nicht. Die nützlichen Fragen sind andere: Welche Landschaft wollen Sie in zwanzig Jahren auf den Fotos sehen, in welcher Saison reisen Sie, und wie viel Logistik sind Sie bereit zu schlucken — an einem Tag, den Sie genau deshalb gewählt haben, um sie zu vermeiden.

Die sieben Settings
1. Val d'Orcia, Toskana. Sanfte Hügel, Zypressenalleen, eine Kapelle auf dem Kamm. Das ist die Landschaft, die die Welt meint, wenn sie „Italien“ sagt, und im Morgengrauen mit Nebel in den Tälern sieht sie aus wie nirgendwo sonst. Am besten im Mai (grün, Mohn) oder Ende September (gold). Das Eheversprechen auf einem Weingut löst auch die Feier — Sie essen dort, wo Sie geheiratet haben.
2. Die Amalfiküste. Ravellos Terrassen hoch über der Steilküste, Positanos vertikale Gassen. Das Meer landet in jedem Bild. Der Preis ist Logistik: enge Straßen, langsame Transfers, ein voller Juli und August. April–Juni und September–Oktober sind das Fenster.
3. Der Comer See. Villen, Ufergärten, Berge, die im Wasser stehen. Das filmischste Setting der Liste, am besten vom Boot aus fotografiert — das Eheversprechen auf einem hölzernen Motoscafo ist ein Klischee, das wirklich funktioniert. Gut von Mai bis Oktober.
4. Rom. Das urbane Elopement: ein historischer Innenhof, eine Dachterrasse, das Centro im Morgengrauen für Porträts. Es funktioniert das ganze Jahr — Dezember eingeschlossen — und braucht keine Transfers: Alles passiert zu Fuß. Die Wahl für Paare, die die Ewige Stadt wollen und null bewegliche Teile.
5. Sizilien — Taormina und Syrakus. Das griechische Theater mit dem Ätna dahinter; Ortigias honigfarbener Barock am Meer. Die längste Saison von allen — kurze Ärmel im November. Der szenischste Süden, mit den zusätzlichen Flügen, die das bedeutet.
6. Apulien — Alberobello und das Umland. Weiß getünchte Trulli, Masserien, uralte Olivenhaine. Das rustikalste und günstigste Setting der Liste, wie gemacht für ein Landhaus-Elopement mit Abendessen in der Masseria.
7. Die Dolomiten. Für Paare, die Fotos wollen, die sonst niemand hat: Hochwiesen, Felswände, die sich bei Sonnenuntergang rosa färben, grüne Seen. Eine kurze Saison — Mitte Juni bis September — und etwas Gehen gehört dazu. Ein Eheversprechen auf 2.000 Metern vergisst man nicht.
Frei oder rechtsgültig?
Eine freie Zeremonie kann überall stattfinden, an den meisten öffentlichen Orten ohne Genehmigung. Eine rechtsgültige läuft über das Standesamt (Ufficio di Stato Civile) mit übersetzten Dokumenten und 2–4 Wochen Papierkram — für Ausländer ist ein lokaler Planer, der das übernimmt, sein Honorar wert. Viele Paare erledigen den rechtlichen Teil zu Hause und das Eheversprechen in Italien: Auf den Fotos sieht das niemand.

We couldn't recommend Georgiana more as a wedding photographer! From our very first meeting, we knew she would be an absolute dream to work with. She took the time to meet us at our venue months before the wedding — even late in the evening when that was the only time we were available! She was so attentive and we instantly loved her laid-back, friendly approach.
